Applications Systems Analyst

Location: Clarksburg, WV

We are looking for an experienced, professional Applications Systems Analyst to join our team!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Individual will be responsible for installing and configuring operating systems and COTS products. Other duties include:

  •  Formulating/defining system scope and objectives.
  •  Devising or modifying procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
  •  Preparing detailed specifications for programs.
  •  Assisting the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new software and enhancements of existing applications.
  •  Working with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements.
  •  Formulating/defining specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer.
  •  Designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting those programs.
  •  Providing overall operating system, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages.
  •  Assisting all phases of software systems programming applications.
  •  Evaluating new and existing software products.
  •  Providing support from the hardware level through to the applications running to support a service.
  •  Providing performance tuning, hardware replacement, firmware upgrades, and patching to all COTS software products, including operating systems.
  •  Script writing, data storage management, network interfaces, external peripheral interfaces, and others systems interfacing.

REQUIREMENTS

  •  An active Top Secret Security Clearance
  •  Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience
  •  Bachelorís degree in Computer Science or related field preferred 
  •  Must have demonstrated experience \ using most or preferably all of the following technologies/tools: Systems Administration, VMWare, VMWare vCloud Director, VMWare vSphere, Red Hat, Linux, Oracle, JBOSS, ActiveVOS, Scripting languages
  •  Possesses experience and a wide variety of knowledge in Microsoft operating systems and applications.
  •  Knowledge and expertise in resolving complex issue relating to all aspects of local and wide area networks.
  •  Individual shall be knowledgeable in performance analysis and troubleshooting on a wide range of computer platforms and operating systems with a high degree of monitoring for complex systems including the usage of Twiddle scripts and COTS products such as Computer Associates Wiley Product (CA Wiley).
  •  Possesses the ability to perform research, development and analysis on current and/or future technology, write end-user requirements, and configure QCP/Flyaway kits on demand based on the type of mission being supported.
  •  Strong communication skills (written, verbal)
  •  Ability to work in a team environment
  •  Analytical and problem solving expertise
