Systems Engineer

Location: Clarksburg, WV

We are looking for an experienced, professional Systems Engineer to join our team!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Individual will be responsible for providing functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of complex integrated hardware and software systems. Other duties include:

  • Monitoring all O&M schedules, providing input on potential date slips, conflicts, opportunities, and improvements.
  • Developing integrated system test requirement, strategies, devices and systems
  • Directing overall system level testing
  • Performing engineering studies and analyses in support of the systems and services
  • Providing IT and systems engineering support to analyze system problems in support of development and implementation of solutions
  • Performing and documenting concept and requirements analyses in support of system refreshment and upgrades
  • Performing IT systems performance modeling and simulations in support of systems and services requirements analysis, modification planning, and cost estimations
  • Developing new technical specifications and providing modifications to existing technical specifications
  • Performing reviews of draft documentation for technical content and compliance with engineering standards
  • Assessing COTS hardware and software products for application to the enterprise
  • Assessing and recommending the application of new technologies and products for improvement of the systems and services
  • Performing fault analysis, assessments, statistical studies,  predictive analysis, and other efforts sufficient to support requirements studies and analyses associated with corrective and adaptive maintenance of the systems
  • Planning, conducting, and participating in requirements reviews
  • Reviewing change and enhancement requests to determine feasibility, system impacts, and cost and time estimates to implement requests
  • Providing analytical and technical support in the acquisition, design, development, and implementation of automated systems
  • Providing analysis and planning support to the development of software release schedules
  • Providing programming and technical support for enhancements and  corrective/adaptive maintenance of electronic tools supporting requirements, change, configuration, documentation, and test tool management for all systems.
  • Providing system analysis and software monitoring to assure each systemís ability to meet and sustain processing performance requirements.
  • Preparing, maintaining, and updating software and system design documentation.
  • Providing on-site expert scheduling expertise to create, update, and maintain O&M schedules across the System of Services. Scheduling shall include the maintenance of a comprehensive System of Services schedule depicting all supported systems, as well as tactical schedules as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  •  An active Top Secret Security Clearance
  •  Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  •  Bachelorís degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field preferred 
  •  Experience with COMPS a plus
  •  Strong communication skills (written, verbal)
  •  Ability to work in a team environment
  •  Analytical and problem solving expertise
