Graphic Designer/Webpage Developer

Location: Montgomery, AL

We are looking for a professional, experienced Graphic Designer/Webpage Developer to join our team!


Individual will be responsible for all graphic design activities in support of the Air Force Negotiation Center’s (AFNC) internet/intranet and social media-based systems. Other duties include:

  • Developing and maintaining web-based products and capabilities
  • Performing web server administration to maintain timely and accurate information pertaining to AFNC mission efforts and program management
  • Conducting web site development and performance monitoring, to include, but not be limited to:
    • Creating, maintaining and/or updating static data files, video files, audio files, multi-media files, current marketing products, links to other reference web resources, and/or workshop information (as applicable)
    • Monitoring performance
    • Quarterly review of all website content to ensure material is the most current information available, and provide a content status as part of the appropriate Monthly Activity Report
  • Developing and integrating social media into AFNC marketing to develop and maintain contact with a base of clientele (DoD,Federal government and other stakeholders, alumni, sponsors, and others deemed appropriate) to provide them first access to the latest AFNC developments
  • Developing and coordinating an AFNC marketing plan that leverages all AFNC and related web and social media to ensure the widest awareness of AFNC products and services. The marketing plan should include, but is not limited to:
    • Coordinating marketing activities with appropriate local, regional and national media outlets 
    • Crafting, editing, coordinating, and disseminating marketing and media products, to include a periodic (as determined by the Client) electronic AFNC marketing journal. Create and coordinate marketing efforts with the Air University Television (AUTV) on selected topics; recommend selected AFNC (and other source) products to specific clients, and maintain a capability for network clientele to easily reach back to the AFNC for products and services.
  • Identifying, recommending, and implementing viable new technologies and capabilities to improve process effectiveness and efficiency


  •  Bachelor’s Degree required; PhD preferred. Candidate must also possess at least one of the following four:

1.A Terminal degree in a discipline that addresses negotiation, mediation, conflict management, and/or alternative dispute resolution; or

2. A certificate of completion from a nationally recognized program (for example: Harvard Program on Negotiations, Wharton School, Stanford, Duke, Kennesaw State University) that addresses negotiation, mediation, conflict management, and/or alternative dispute resolution; or

3. Recognition by a nationally recognized program (for example: Harvard Program on Negotiations, Wharton School, Stanford, Duke, Kennesaw State University) for major accomplishments and/or contributions to the advancement of negotiation, mediation, conflict management, alternative dispute resolution (such as publication in a major journal, a lead role in teaching the application of above skills in an executive program, recognition for exceptional mediation skills, etc.); or

4. At least three years’ experience in an official capacity that required the routine and successful application of negotiation, mediation, conflict management, and/or alternative dispute resolution as a component of their duties (for example: military attaché duty, service in an international peacekeeping organization, senior-level service on a coalition staff, service at the U.S. Department of State in an international location, etc.).

  •  Must possess at least three years’ successful experience in the direct development and delivery of post-secondary education/training materials using the AF Instructional System Design (ISD) process
  •  Ability to create and manage marketing programs
  •  Experience in the following web technologies: HTML 5, XML, Oracle, Java, and SQL
  •  Ability to acquire Maxwell AFB Webpage Maintainer certification
  •  Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Project Manager, and Vista) and Adobe/Dreamweaver tools
  •  Strong written and oral communication skills

The position is located at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, AL.
