Curriculum Assessment Specialist

Location: Montgomery, AL

We have looking for an experienced, professional Curriculum Assessment Specialist to join our team! 


Individual will perform assessment support to include recommended plans (by course and/or class) to the client and administer, collect and analyze the assessment data (such as pre- and post-course attitudinal surveys, pre-course tests, situational judgment tests, and end of course surveys) for the client use in course evaluation and future planning. All assessment plans will be reviewed and accepted by the client prior to execution. Other duties include:

  •  Conduct course effectiveness assessments, provide the client end of course feedback and all other assessment analysis data within six weeks of the defined assessment period and/or end of the course
  •  Modify presentation format and update or modify the curriculum to correspond to education levels necessary for the target audience.
  •  Conduct on-going psychometric (e.g., reliability and validity analyses), longitudinal, multivariate, and nonparametric analyses using sophisticated statistical, measurement and programmatic assessment techniques and manage large databases in Excel/SPSS. These activities involve statistics and measurement techniques with applied or experimental data such as by conducting laboratory or field research and/or working on applied projects focused on collecting, analyzing, and reporting data. 


  •  PHD strongly desired
  •  Must possess at least three years successful experience in the direct development and delivery of post-secondary education/training materials using the AF ISD process.
  •  Must possess at least one of the following four:       

A Terminal degree in a discipline that addresses negotiation, mediation, conflict management, and/or alternative dispute resolution; or

2. A certificate of completion from a nationally recognized program (for example: Harvard Program on Negotiations, Wharton School, Stanford, Duke, Kennesaw State University) that addresses negotiation, mediation, conflict management, and/or alternative dispute resolution; or

3. Recognition by a nationally recognized program (for example: Harvard Program on Negotiations, Wharton School, Stanford, Duke, Kennesaw State University) for major accomplishments and/or contributions to the advancement of negotiation, mediation, conflict management, alternative dispute resolution (such as publication in a major journal, a lead role in teaching the application of above skills in an executive program, recognition for exceptional mediation skills, etc.); or

4. At least three years’ experience in an official capacity that required the routine and successful application of negotiation, mediation, conflict management, and/or alternative dispute resolution as a component of their duties (for example: military attaché duty, service in an international peacekeeping organization, senior-level service on a coalition staff, service at the U.S. Department of State in an international location, etc.).

  •  Must have experience with the development of assessment programs objectives and tools; expert competency in the delivery/reporting of assessment results with attendant recommendations
  •  Must possess qualitative and quantitative data analysis experience

The position is located at Maxwell AFB in Montgomery, AL
