Program Manager

Location: Washington, DC

We are looking for a professional, experienced Program Manager to join our team! 


Individual will act as overall technical manager and administrator for one or more delivery orders; serves as the primary interface and point of contact with the CO and COR on technical program/project issues; and supervises task operations by developing technical and management procedures, planning and execution of the effort. Individual will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting progress, management of acquisition and employment of the program/project resources management and control of financial and administrative aspects of the program/project with respect to delivery order requirements. Individual will be responsible for overseeing the following:

  • Research to continue improving aircraft cabin safety to minimize injuries and maximize survivability in rare events of incidents and/or accidents.
  • Development of tools and capabilities to identify and analyze emerging safety threats and determine mitigation solutions to reduce aviation accidents and incidents.
  • Development of methodologies and processes to support certification of alternative aircraft fuels. 
  • Research on aircraft systems and airframe structures to support airworthiness requirements, continuedoperational safety, and safety oversight.
  • Research and testing in aviation human factors in safety and operational requirements, analysis, design, development, and implementation. 


  • An advanced degree from an accredited college or university in technical or management field with at least 8 years of experience in managing complex aviation technical/research programs or a bachelorís degree from an accredited college or university in a technical or management field and at least 10 years of experience in managing complex aviation technical/research programs
  • Experience is the following areas:
    • Research Portfolio Development and Management
    • Strategic Planning
    • Financial Management and Analyses
    • Internal and External Communications
    • Process Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Configuration Management
    • R&D Safety
    • Research, Engineering, and Development
