Information Security Engineer

Location: Washington, DC

We are looking for an experienced, professional Information Security Engineer to join our team!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Individual will be performing a wide array of Cybersecurity, Information System Security Officer (ISSO), Certification Agent (CA), and Security Controls Assessor (SCA) analyst activities to include:

  •  Develop Risk Management Framework (RMF) Artifacts and implement sustainable security solutions designed to address program gaps and enhance protections.
  •  Perform Risk Analysis and Assessment
  •  Support Security Control Assessment
  •  Support Product Evaluation
  •  Support Document Review and Security Technical Writing
  •  Support Risk Assessment and Risk Management
  •  Support Policy and Audit Services
  •  Maintain and update the System Security Plans (SSPs) as part of the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process
  •  Assure that the project successfully achieves Authority to Operate (ATO) at the designated level
  •  Ensuring that requests for Security Authorization (SA, also commonly referred to as Assessment & Authorization or Certification and Accreditation) of assigned major application or general support system is completed in accordance with the published procedures

REQUIREMENTS

  •  Must be clearable or currently cleared at the Public Trust, Secret or Higher Level
  •  Bachelorís Degree or higher; preferably in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  •  5 or more years within the information technology domain directly supporting security of IT systems
  •  Experience as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO), SCA, or ISSE
  •  Experience with Vulnerability, Configuration, and Asset Management tools in support of Continuous Monitoring
  •  Experience with POA&M management
  •  Experience using the XACTA and/or similar Risk Management / Compliance Tool.
  •  Experience analyzing vulnerability scans from tools such as Tenable and/or Nessus.
  •  Familiarity with one or more of FIPS Pubs 199 & 200, and NIST Special Pubs 800-30, 800-37, 800-39, 800-53, 800-60
